Endoscopy Tech

The Endoscopy Technician performs a variety of duties related to the care and reprocessing of
GI Flexible Endoscopes and Accessories, and provides technical support to the nursing staff and
physicians.
The intent of this job description is to provide a summary of the major duties and responsibilities
of this position and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements
that may be inherent in the position.
RequirementsEDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Graduate or GED Equivalent.
Specialized training and experience in processing instruments; especially Flexible Endoscopes.
Planned 4 to 6 weeks of orientation to the Endoscopy Suite by professional nurse/technician in the Endoscopy Unit., ongoing in-service programs and on-the-job experiences/and training. Customized orientation to each endoscopic procedure.
Basic computer skills preferred.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Basic Life Support
Recommended certification in Endoscopy

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
