Ideal candidates will possess the following:
- A BS or BA in the biological sciences or related field - Strong attention to detail - Proficiency with data entry and computer applications - Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Strong understanding of aseptic technique in the laboratory - Ability to work in standing position for extended periods of time - Ability to regularly lift up to 20lbs above waist level Laboratory Analyst duties include, but are not limited to:
sample analysis by various microbiological assays, raw data login, results interpretation, reporting via LIMS, interacting with customers, sample sorting and log-in, media/sample preparation, inventory control, washing glassware, general laboratory cleaning, trash removal and sample disposal, and other duties as assigned.
The pay for this position starts at $19.
00 to $21.
00 hourly, plus a $1.
5 shift differential (during night time hours).
This position is full-time and eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period:
medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, 401(k), health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 6 paid holidays per year.
This position operates on evening shift, Monday to Friday, from 10:
00pm to 7:
00am (including a 1 hour unpaid lunch).
The laboratory operates weekends, so candidates must be willing to work occasional weekends.
